Title: She won't let her down

Michonne is panting but nevertheless doesn’t dare to slow down. She rearranges the blonde girl on her back, tightens the grip on her. She knows, if Amy should slip, she would not be able to help herself.
She grits her teeth when she thinks back to the assault that just happened half an hour ago; the biters came out of nowhere but left a bloody trail. Unfortunately the girl’s sister, Andrea, is one of the victims. If it hadn’t been for Michonne, Amy would be just another dead girl by now.
The woman feels her back getting wet, knowing it is her own sweat and the girl’s tears.
But she doesn’t mind for the biter’s moaning can still be heard.
“They follow us,” she says bitterly, not gaining an answer. No surprise here.
She could throw Amy off to distract the undead and run ahead, finding some shelter and waiting until the danger subsides …
But then she could not live with herself anymore. So she sighs and rearranges Amy again, knowing that she would carry the traumatized girl to the end of the world if she has to.
“We’ll make it, Amy. Don’t worry, we’ll make it,” she says … not gaining an answer.
