Walking Dead - Beth/Amy - BFF

Challenge: Drabbletag 5 - girl talk
Amy watched with a big smile how Beth colored her nails with pink nail polish. She admired her work when the other girl was done. “This is so awesome,” she breathed and beamed at Beth. “I never thought I would see that again.”
Beth smiled while closing the flask. “Well, unfortunately it’s the only color left. I used to have so many.”
“Yeah, me too. I kinda collected them.”
They shared a mutual look and giggled.
“You know, it’s been a long time since I ever felt this … normal. Your room is amazing, it’s like a slumber party somehow,” Amy said.
“And it is so great you’re here. I mean, my sisters are cool, but- you know.”
“Yeah, same here. I love Andrea but I miss someone … well, like me.”
Beth nodded and Amy’s necklace caught her eye. “Hey, that’s sweet. A mermaid?”
“Yup, birthday present from Andrea.” Her smile faltered. “But that was the only good thing … the night before we were attacked and lost some people.”
Beth shook her head. “Let’s talk about something else. Did you by any chance watch Flaming Desire?”
Amy’s eyes grew wide. “Shut up! I loved that show!”
Beth leaned forward. “Really? Who was your favourite? Let me guess-”
“Gerald,” they said in unison and broke out into another laughing fit.

Later that night they laid next to each other, Beth resting her head on Amy’s shoulder.
“You’ll stay, right?”
“Of course … BFF.”
Beth smiled at this and cuddled closer.
