Challenge: Drabbletag 5 - rescue
Peach looks up when she hears the characteristic sounds of someone fighting the Koopas beyond her cell door. She smiles, straightens her dress and looks at the door to wait for Mario to finally burst in and get her out of this castle.
He really took his time, but her smile never falters. In the end he is always there to rescue her from Bowser, and she is thankful.
But her mouth hangs open in surprise when the door finally gives in and she sees not Mario or even Luigi but Daisy standing there with an axe swung over her shoulder. Her hair is tousled and her dress ripped, but seems to be unhurt.
“Daisy?” Peach asks incredulous.
“Yes, it’s me,” the brunette smiles and wipes her forehead with a gloved hand.
“But- how?”
“Tell you what, Princess, I’m tired of men rescuing us. It’s time we take fate in our own hands,” she states and laughs. “So, you come with me?”
Peach is really taken aback by this; not waiting for Mario to bail her out?
But the excitement takes over and the blonde beams. “That is so great!” she exclaims and walks up to Daisy who lays one arm around her waist and pulls her in.
“Doesn’t the heroine get a kiss?”
Peach blushes but responds the flirty way. “Sure she does,” she says with a coquette voice and lays her lips onto Daisy’s, feeling a prickle in her stomach she never felt before; not even with Mario.
