Mh, I like Hermione in the books, but fanfictions with her never really got to me. Maybe because I don't like how other people write her, or maybe because of several stereotypes they like to use when it comes to her character (just like the one you described).
Though I'm more fond of minor characters in general, as Lavender and Pansy :D
