Ever After High - Raven/Apple - Holding Hands

Raven looked around the dark furniture Apple had chosen for her and sighed. There had to be a way to make her finally believe she was different than everyone thought she was … So what was a thing an evil-to-be-queen would never do?
One morning, when they left for class walking side by side and Raven listened to Apple ramble on about some unimportant things, she reached out and entwined her fingers with Apple’s. The blonde fell silent at once and looked at Raven with a raised eyebrow, but the dark haired girl said nothing. And Apple did not pull her hand back.
This she did for every morning that and the following week. They never talked about it and Apple didn’t acknowledge the gesture, so Raven intended to stop. She hadn’t been really sure how holding hands would help her in first place; she just thought … it would feel as good for Apple as it did for her. She liked the slim fingers of the other girl, her hand always warm but never sweaty.
The next morning they walked side by side again (Apple ranting on about how fabulous her mirror was) without Raven taking Apple’s hand. And everything was normal at first … until the blonde stopped.
“Is something wrong?”
Raven frowned. “No, why?”
Apple’s eyes flickered to Raven’s hand.
“You miss that?” Raven whispered after a moment and Apple blushed a little.
“Yeah … it was … kinda nice.”
Raven smiled and entwined their fingers again.
