Title: Don't you ever feel?

Asuka couldn’t shake the feeling of antipathy every time she laid her eyes on that silver haired doll. She always had the same facial expression, was restrained and quiet. How could Asuka be the only one who thought that girl was weird?
But of course everyone else praised her. Perfect student, perfect pilot.
How could she be the only one that noticed the lack of emotion in Rei, the lack of passion, of… life?
Every time they stood together in the elevator, not saying a word, Asuka had to wonder how one could be like that.
“Hey, doll,” she said, not gaining any reaction of her. “Rei!”
Now she turned around, locking her red eyes with Asuka’s. “Yes?”
“Don’t you ever feel anything?” Asuka asked without the usual snappish tone but simple curiousity in her voice. That seemed to surprise Rei as much as Asuka herself … or maybe the redhead just read that into her.
“I feel all the time,” Rei just stated after a moment with that soft, monotone voice.
“Really. Then why do you never show it?”
It seemed she didn’t have an answer to that, so they just stood there for a long moment.
Then Asuka stomped over to her and ripped the top of her school uniform, laid her lips onto Rei’s, kissed her fiercely; but as expected Rei did not react.
“That is what humans call passion,” Asuka just whispered, when the elevator doors opened and she turned around to leave the doll alone.
